21-Year-Old MIT Dropouts Raise $32M Because Apparently, College is Overrated Now

In a move that has every parent questioning the value of higher education, two 21-year-old MIT dropouts, Karun Kaushik and Selin Kocalar, have somehow convinced investors to give them $32 million for their startup, Delve. That's right, folks. They dropped out of one of the most prestigious institutions in the world, and instead of living in their parents' basement, they're now sitting on a $300 million valuation.

According to sources (read: their LinkedIn profiles), Kaushik and Kocalar weren't even planning to raise a Series A so soon. But then, like a swarm of bees to a very expensive honeypot, inbound interest started rolling in. "We were just coding in our pajamas, eating ramen, and suddenly VCs were sliding into our DMs like, 'Hey, can we give you $32 million?'" Kocalar reportedly said, between sips of her artisanal, small-batch cold brew.

This groundbreaking Series A round was led by Insight, a venture capital firm that apparently has a soft spot for young, charismatic geniuses who may or may not have finished their homework. "We see a lot of potential in Delve," said an Insight spokesperson, while quietly weeping over their own life choices. "Their vision is... uh, disruptive? Yeah, let's go with disruptive."

Meanwhile, the rest of us are left wondering if we, too, could have been millionaires if only we'd dropped out of college and had a really good PowerPoint presentation. "It's not about the degree, it's about the hustle," Kaushik added, as he adjusted his $500 noise-canceling headphones.

So, what does Delve actually do? Good question. Their website says something about "leveraging AI to redefine the future of work," which could mean anything from automating your job to replacing your boss with a chatbot. Either way, it's probably going to be disruptive. And if you're feeling left out, don't worry—there's still time to drop out of whatever you're doing and start a tech company. Just make sure you have a cool name and a hoodie.
