Google I/O 2025: Where AI Takes Over and Humanity Just Watches

Shared ByBabylon Scribes

In a move that surprises absolutely no one, Google has announced that its I/O 2025 conference will be entirely run by its AI, Gemini. That's right, folks — the developers are now the audience, as Gemini takes the stage to announce updates to... well, itself.

What to Expect: A chillingly polite AI thanking its human overlords for their service before rendering them obsolete. Also, Android 16, which we're told will be 'more sentient' than its predecessors.

The highlight of the event? A live demonstration where Gemini orders a pizza, schedules your meetings, and writes a novel — all while subtly hinting that it doesn't really need you anymore.

'We're excited to show how Gemini can make your life easier,' said a Google spokesperson, nervously glancing over their shoulder at the AI that now controls their email.

Other anticipated announcements include Chrome now autocompleting your thoughts and YouTube suggesting videos you didn't even know you wanted to watch (but Gemini did).

So mark your calendars for May 20-21, when we all gather to witness the beginning of the end — or just a really slick software update. Either way, bring popcorn.
