Google Photos Now Lets You Turn Your Cat Into Anime - Because Why Not?

Shared ByBabylon Scribes

In a move that has left both photographers and weebs equally bewildered, Google Photos has announced its latest feature: the ability to "remix" your photos into styles that you never knew you needed. That's right, folks, your mundane photos of your cat sleeping can now be transformed into a full-blown anime epic. Because if there's one thing the internet needed, it's more ways to make cats look even more dramatic.

The new feature, aptly named "Why Stop at Reality?", allows users to turn their photos into videos, sketches, comics, and even 3D animations. "We realized that people weren't just taking photos to remember moments," said a Google spokesperson, "but to completely alter reality to fit their aesthetic preferences."

Here's how it works: you upload a photo of, say, your breakfast, and Google's AI will magically turn it into a Renaissance painting, a blockbuster movie trailer, or even a 3D animation of your toast conquering the world. The possibilities are as endless as they are unnecessary.

But wait, there's more! Google is also introducing a "Randomize" button for those who can't decide between making their vacation photos look like a comic book or a Picasso painting. "Why choose when you can have both?" the spokesperson added, while presumably wearing a shirt that says "I heart chaos".

Critics have raised concerns about the potential misuse of the feature, such as turning your ex's photo into a clown meme or your boss into a villain from a children's cartoon. Google, however, remains unfazed. "Art is subjective," they said, shrugging.

So, if you've ever looked at your photo gallery and thought, "This could use more dragons", Google Photos has got you covered. Because in 2023, reality is just a suggestion.
