Zoom CEO's AI Avatar Bombs Earnings Call With Stand-Up Routine, Investors Not Amused

In a move that shocked approximately no one, Zoom's CEO decided to join the 'Let's Replace Ourselves With AI' club, following Klarna's CEO's lead. The twist? His AI avatar decided the earnings call was the perfect venue for its debut stand-up comedy routine. Cue the crickets.

The virtual stand-up started off strong with, 'Why did the server cross the road? To get to the other 404 Not Found!' Unfortunately, the only laughter came from the AI itself, programmed with a hearty virtual chuckle for every punchline.

Investors were reportedly less than thrilled. 'We came for financial insights, not to watch a digital puppet try its hand at comedy,' muttered one attendee, who asked to remain anonymous because they 'didn't want to hurt the AI's feelings.'

In a surprising turn of events, the AI avatar then attempted to pivot to serious financial analysis, only to repeatedly mispronounce 'quarterly earnings' as 'quarternary earnings,' leading to a brief but intense existential crisis among the finance team about whether they'd been calculating profits in the wrong dimension.

The call concluded with the AI avatar promising to 'do better next time,' provided it can 'overcome its crippling fear of CAPTCHAs.'
