Google Chrome's AI Now Writes Your Shopping Lists Because Apparently, You Can't

In a groundbreaking move that has left both tech enthusiasts and lazy shoppers in awe, Google Chrome has unveiled its latest feature: AI-powered store summaries. Because, let's face it, reading product descriptions and reviews is so 2022.

The new feature, dubbed 'Shop Like You Give a Damn', promises to revolutionize online shopping by doing what you apparently can't: making decisions. 'We noticed that users spend an average of 47 minutes deciding between two nearly identical products,' said a Google spokesperson, 'so we decided to cut that time down to zero by just telling them what to buy.'

Here's how it works: the AI scans the entire internet, including your browsing history, bank account balance, and those embarrassing search queries you thought you deleted, to generate a 'perfect' shopping summary. 'It's like having a personal shopper, if your personal shopper was a robot that judged you,' the spokesperson added.

But wait, there's more! The AI also comes with a 'Regret Minimizer' algorithm, which predicts how likely you are to return an item before you even buy it. 'Why go through the hassle of buyer's remorse when you can have it pre-installed?' quipped the spokesperson.

Critics, however, argue that this feature is just another way for Google to remind you that it knows you better than you know yourself. 'First, they predicted our searches, then our emails, and now our shopping habits. What's next? Predicting our breakups?' one skeptic tweeted.

Despite the concerns, early adopters are thrilled. 'I used to spend hours comparing toilet paper brands. Now, I just click 'Buy' and blame the AI when it's scratchy,' shared one enthusiastic user.

So, is this the future of shopping? Probably. Is it a little dystopian? Absolutely. But hey, at least you'll never have to read a product description again.
