Space Forge Blasts Off with $30M to Prove Chips Taste Better in Zero Gravity

Shared ByBabylon Scribes

In a move that has left Earth-bound snack companies shaking in their boots, Space Forge, a plucky startup from Cardiff, Wales, has secured a whopping $30 million Series A funding to manufacture chip materials in space. Because, as we all know, the secret ingredient to perfect wafer materials is absolutely zero gravity.

"We've been making chips on Earth for centuries, and frankly, we're bored," said a Space Forge spokesperson, while floating upside down for no apparent reason. "The conditions in space are just... *chef's kiss*. No gravity means no crumbs, and that's just science."

The company plans to launch its first batch of space-made wafers by 2025, promising a product that's "out of this world" in both taste and origin. Critics, however, remain skeptical. "I don't see how being in space makes a chip any better," said one, before being immediately shushed by a room full of excited astronauts.

But Space Forge isn't just stopping at chips. Rumor has it they're also exploring the potential of space-made guacamole, because nothing says "premium dip" like it being assembled in orbit. "The avocados just... float into the bowl," the spokesperson added, dreamily.

As the space industry continues to reach for the stars (literally), one can't help but wonder: what's next? Space-grown potatoes? Moon-mined salt? Martian malt vinegar? The possibilities are as endless as the universe itself, and just as incomprehensible to the average person trying to enjoy a simple bag of chips.
